Partner Yoga Workshop

Invite your partner, a friend, or a family member, and join us for a partner yoga class held at Seattle Aikikai. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore communication & your sense of trust & adventure, and your ability to let go & have fun.

No previous yoga experience is required. Beginners are welcome. You will be walked through poses step by step. This is a great opportunity to invite a friend who always talks about trying yoga, but is a bit nervous to just show up to class.

Thanksgiving Day Free Yoga Class

I am excited to participate in this year's Gratitude in Motion event to benefit Yoga Behind Bars. On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday Nov. 22, 10am-11am I will teach a free class by donation with proceeds going to the organization I volunteer for, Yoga Behind Bars, which offers yoga to people incarcerated because "peace is an inside job."

Teen Summer Camp: Beyond #metoo:

A Finishing School for Badass Girls

This is a three day yoga and self-defense camp for teen girls, 13-16 years old. We focus on self-defense, self-care, and self-compassion. The camp activities include daily yoga, self-defense techniques using Aikido, boundary setting and awareness exercises, DIY Beauty, meditation, and journaling/ creative writing. As a group we will work past the social stigmas against speaking out, and learn how to express our needs. In addition, the camp will focus on the development of healthy self image that is so crucial to our teenage years. Not only will this experience develop strong confidence, but create a connection with other teens outside of social media.

No prior yoga or Aikido experience is necessary. This camp will be led by Malory Graham, 6th degree black belt and certified yoga instructor. It will be co-facilitated by intern Olive Medlock, a junior at Bellevue Big Picture High School. Guest teachers will include certified yoga instructors and create/expressive writing facilitator, Robin Brownstein, MSW. You can sign up two students at a discount, should you wish to bring a friend. The age range is flexible, so please inquire. Scholarships available based on need.
